Frank McCourt died Sunday.   Frank McCourt

His illustriously literature is “Angela’s Ashes”.   “Angela’s Ashes” was published by 1996 .

“A lot of the class was him telling tales and telling them over and over,” said Alissa Quart, an author and a 2009 Nieman Fellow at Harvard who was Mr. McCourt’s student during her freshman year at Stuyvesant, in 1985-86. “He used to sort of recite from memory the stories that became ‘Angela’s Ashes.’ ”

As the news of Mr. McCourt’s death spread, hundreds of admirers, including many former students, posted their recollections

As he put it in “Teacher Man,” his third volume of autobiography:

Instead of teaching, I told stories.

Anything to keep them quiet and in their seats.

They thought I was teaching.

I thought I was teaching.

I was learning.

Many people reviews his life  ,but we want to  know his  heart , except  read his books ,no way !
